What she didn't know at the time is that Winfried was an unofficial employee of the State Security of the GDR. He was tasked with turning the photo performance more in the direction of pornography and with developing grounds on which Stötzer could be charged with a crime. Winfried embodied the double role of artist and secret agent in an explicit way; he was not only a dedicated agent, but also a talented performer. In the end, the Stasi was unsuccessful in their attempt. Now, we're now able to exhibit one of the most definitive and spectacular photo performances from the days of the GDR.
